Status of Tell a Friend Node

Hi,
I'm writing to check the status of this module. I was about to launch into a module from scratch myself as we need multiple teel-a-friend forms, with ability to display them as blocks and pages, SPAM module integration, detailed reporting, proxying through a blast provider, and plaxo integration. I see that you are more than halfway there. My current inclination would be to use this module as a base, and wanted to know what the best way to proceed is? Are you accepting patches? Should we just make the changes we need and offer it up as a new beta or branch? We are on a tight timeline, so let me know if there is a way we can work together. Thanks.
