Ok this is probably really easy to do but I am confused and can’t see where or how to do it.
This is my site www.mkpitstop.co.uk and it covers the following subjects
Computers
Gaming
Webmasters
Consoles
I want to place them in categories on the left menu and have articles show up on there category pages like it does on my main page now, and what ever I want on the main page I just can select it to the front page.
Can this be done as I have seen it on other Drupal sites, if so please some one say in easy terms how lol
Thank you.

4.7 Category?
Since I havent tried 4.7, cant help with Category module that comes out of the box with it.
If 4.6.5, the module is TAXONOMY.
Go to admin/taxonomy (But the Menu says `categories' under the `administer')
The first thing is to create a VOCABULARY which is the mother of all the categories. You can call the vocab anything.
Set to include vocabulary - page, story, poll, etc etc
Set to be Multiple (Hierarchy) to enable term under a term (grandchildren of the VOCAB)
Then you start adding TERMS which is the categories you want.
The terms names can contain spaces and long.
Then if you wish, set the URL alias to represent each of the terms.

How do I get them to show
Hi mate thank you for the reply
I have set TAXONOMY allready but I cant get thento show in the menu as categories
how would I do that bit?
Thank you.
I am not going to get tired
I am not going to get tired of repeating this, but if you are on 4.7 and want to use taxonomy, do yourself a big favour and use the category.module instead. It is built on the concept of drupal's taxonomy system and book pages, but is a big improvement over both. Start here: http://category.greenash.net.au/
For instance, with category_menu module enabled, you will automatically get menu items for your categories. For more on category, read these threads also:

Thank you
Thank you I am looking into this now and trying to get it to all work nice I didnt see that there was one availble for this drupal also it would help if I even had the version I said lol but I have upgaded now
Well that was good
Well I have done all the upgrades for my site and that module isnt working I get a nice error now :-(
Got a clue where to find the Category / containers?
Hi Ramdak,
I've enabled the category module (Drupal 4.6 in CivicSpace 0.8.3) but I don't see containers anywhere in the administer menu or sub-menus. (I have all permissions.)
And after enabling the taxonomy_menu module, I see no change in my taxonomy options.
Can you tell me the URL(s) where these two things might be found?
With lots of errors, still unable to get CiviCRM functioning, I'm starting to think this is a whacked CS install and I should start over.

Hi Lynn, Category module
Hi Lynn,
Category module works only with drupal 4.7- not sure what the equivalent CS version is. This is why you are not seeing the containers anywhere.
