Is there a way to make attachments appear as subpage links and not attachments?

Hi folks:

I have spent a couple of months searching for this and can't seem to find something. The site I manage has many file attachments that appear on pages, and the goal is to make the attachments not appear as a segregated section which displays a heading "attachment" and "file size". I would rather have the file attachments appear as perhaps a bulleted list or basic links in the page. Is there a way to do this?
