Hello,

I am trying to figure out whether Drupal can accomplish certain things, and where to look for the feature if it exists.

Two organizatons I am involved with are trying to establish Drupal sites.

Each organization wants to be able to conduct some organizational business thru their site, as we are at a distance from each other.

So we would like to establish tiered access to content...

Public, Member, Committee, and Board...in ascending order.

What is the Drupal language for handling this so I can look it up? (Assuming it is a feature)

this is not very well implemented in Drupal. See Admin -> User -> Permission and specifically 'roles'
