Hi everyone,
I have developed a custom node type and it has a field named ticket_end_date which is actually a UNIX timestamp in the database. What I actually needed to do is use this as a date argument in the calendar view so I can have a calendar with the ticket_end_date displaying init. I have implemented hook_views_data() as described in VIEWS 2 documentation. Unfortunately when I try to add a Date argument in the calendar view I cannot see my custom field listed under the Date fields. Any solution or suggestion for this other than using a CCK field ? Can I make a custom node UNIX timestamp field aware to Drupal as a valid Calendar Date Argument ?
Cheers

Found the solution
After Googling and waiting a whole day until 11PM in the office finally found the solution. Anyway will write it down here so may be it will be beneficial for somebody. Well actually all you have to do it implement the following two hooks in Date API
NOTE: I am using a UNIX time stamp to store the date fields
End dates displaying?
Wow this is very close to what I'm trying to solve - basically I need to get multi-day events displaying as such in the calendar, but right now the view is putting in the end date separately instead if I include it.
Do you have end-dates displaying correctly sankatha?
