Hey everyone,

We're big users of the Signup module (http://drupal.org/project/signup) and as well as Content Access. I'd love to see an integration of the two modules where access to Node A could be granted to all users who have signed up on Node B.

In our use case, we would like to make watching an online seminar (Node A) dependent on filling out a signup/registration form located at Node B. Because we have hundreds of users signing up, it's too time consuming to grant individual users access to Node B. Likewise, because we have dozens of these seminars, granting access to a seminar node by role would force us to create dozens of new roles--something we obviously don't want to maintain.

Anyone else interested in this functionality?

The Rules module should let you do that.

Thanks for the note. I hadn't thought of using Rules. How would I configure Rules to add a new user to a specific ACL? Does the current version of Rules and ACL support this out of the box?

I've never used this myself, but the maintainer of CA and Rules has implemented the required support in ACL, so yes, it should work out of the box.

If you can't find your way, then reactivate this issue and move it to the Rules queue.
