This seems a great idea.
But is there a migration path for users of OA who have already installed it and have data in the casetracker?

Currently, there's no migration path.

If you'd like to contribute one, I'd love to add it. The only caveat is that I'd want to be able to go both ways: bring data from casetracker into software_projects, and also take data back to casetracker. It'd probably be a pretty simple script to write, so tagging with Novice.

Also, the two are not incompatible. You can use software_projects and casetracker at the same time (in the same group, even). You could continue using casetracker for your outstanding cases and only create new cases in software_projects....just kind of phase it out.

I don't have time to work on this feature at the moment, but if anyone

Both can be kept synchronized with a couple of Feed Importers - like iCal feed for calendar events - I think...

There's a drush script in the -dev branch that will eventually provide the migration path from casetracker to software_projects. Right now, it has the queries to go out and grab the node ids for all of the casetracker data, but it needs to be able to create the needed project nodes with project_issues.
