There are only few countries for which the proximity search is supported. It would be great if it showed only actual countries where the search would work. Is there a way to customize a list of countries?

I'm not sure I understand the problem.

Please provide more information. ... and Please check to see if this is still a problem in the new release. If it is, reply with a new summary and set the status back to active.

Geocoding exists for most countries and, I believe, more recent versions will call up a web-service to geocode a user-submitted location for a proximity filter.
