robots.txt to allow only the main bots?

So, every 6 weeks or so, it seems like all of the bots in the world descend on our site, and only when we have about 400 users on (of course).

As much as I love providing fodder for every high-school student's web crawler project, I really can't spare the resources. I'm trying to re-write robots.txt to disallow everything but the main three (yeah, I know the truly evil bots don't read robots.txt, but it's a start).

Can anyone give me some feedback on this:
