I'm running a heavily mod'd D6.x site. I've noticed that when I activate the Advanced Forums module, the Topic Subject is missing from the first post in the Topic. All subsequent replies to that Topic are correctly displaying the Topic Subject.

See here ( http://www.lonestarfishing.org/?q=forum/8 ). Click on any Topic and see the first post does not have the corresponding Topic Subject displayed.

Can someone point me in the direction of a debug or solution?

I had the same problem. The solution is to edit /sites/all/modules/advanced_forum/styles/naked/advf-forum-post.tpl.php as described in:
