I'm not sure if this is the proper place to submit this issue - so I apologize if it is miscategorized! I'm using Notifications 6.x-2.1 and Messaging Framework 6.x-2.1, as well as Notifications Add-ons 6.x-2.0-beta2.

What I'm seeing is that some users are receiving duplicate e-mails sporadically on comment notifications. I am using a combination of Custom Subscriptions and Autosubscribe, and no other subscription type. I think that what is happening is that folks are receiving duplicates on nodes that they are autosubscribed to as well as custom subscribed to. Specifically, user A posts in the forum and is autosubscribed to his own thread. All notifications send out as expected with the exception that he is receiving two identical e-mails when someone comments on his thread. His thread subscription and the custom subscription for forums both have the same send interval and send method. I only have data at this point for the immediate, non-digested versions, I have not seen any cases of this happening in the digests, but my data is a bit limited at this point - I am happy to do more testing on this if it will help.

Besides that, all of the other notifications seem to be sending as expected - I haven't seen any other duplicates come out.

We are still seeing the duplicates. Should I submit this issue to Notifications Add-ons instead of to Notifcations?

modules should be upgraded to the most recent versions to ensure that it isn't an issue that's already been fixed.

It may happen that you have two subscriptions each one with different interval or send method. In this case they'll be processed separately.
