Everyone's situation is unique. I have a public interest site at http://www.worldforallpeople.org that I want to change from a soapblox site to a drupal site.

In my case, not being at all adept in this field, my hope is that as I go through the process, I can be in e mail contact with someone about the little problems I am having. Is there someone out there who would be willing to do that?

if you start describing what features your current site has I'm sure you'll get feedback from several Drupal developers that might lead you

otherwise it might be hard to find a dedicated mentor for all your tasks
