Since I upgraded to the developmental version, the entry box for the quote no longer works with my theme - it goes off into the right sidebar and I am unable to type within it. If I switch themes, it works fine - and it worked fine with my theme (Giordani - a subtheme of Marenelli) before the version switch.

Does your theme work with other content types? That's only an altered node form, so it should work just like any node add/edit form. And the body field is a standard "resizable textarea" which your theme should be able to handle.
