Need help! with OG Search Issue

I posted this issue http://drupal.org/node/637844 (thought it was a bug at first) but no response.

I don't know what would cause part of the search string to disappear and thus not yield a result. Since this was going on in D6.13+OG1.3+Views2.6, before I went to D6.14+OG2.0+Views2.7(patched), I am assuming there is something else wrong. The regular search works okay.

To see what it should look like, I checked my own instance of groups and that search isn't working either - same issue. I had a vague recollection that my site had a search issue but I didnt have time to look into it and I planned to update anyway so assumed all would be well. That is not the case given the update this other site didn't work. This site is on Views2.5+OG1.3+D6.10 (don't roll your eyes, I have been busy).

Two separate sites, two different configurations. Both were OG1.3 at one time. Both have the same missing search string.

I can't afford much. Depending on your rate maybe 1-2 hours to resolve this. If you have any experience with how the search code is supposed to work and can solve this, please let me know ASAP via my Drupal contact form.
