I have been spending an inordinate amount of time developing a website for my family (www.famcloud.com). I thought I would throw it up here for some feedback. It is basically just a glorified family picture blog, but I have pulled in several other bits of functionality. Some of that is invisible to anonymous users, but we have a google calendar that we pull into the site through using feedapi into Calendar views. Automatic updates are sent to the grandparents through notifications and messaging. Our brand new family picasa gallery is piped into the site using brilliant gallery as well.
Theme is a stock Blogbuzz.
Let me know what you think.

Very nice!
I like the looks of it. What are you using for the slideshow on the front page?

Slideshow
Thanks! Slideshow uses dynamic display block. I followed the recipe that the blogbuzz theme designer has on their website. It works good so far.
Thanks
Was that one of the free themes for it or a pay one?

Free themes
When you mean the overall theme.
It can be downloaded from: http://drupal.org/project/blogbuzz
When you mean the ddblock theme.
There are at the moment 16 free ddblock themes for the advanced option of the dynamic display block module, more will be donated in the future.
You can download the free ddblock themes from http://ddblock.myalbums.biz/download.
You can also see examples of free themes at http://ddblock.myalbums.biz and working examples for some of them at http://themes.myalbums.biz/bookpath/examples
Hope this helps you further.
.
I meant the ddblock theme. I didn't recognize it from when I was looking through the examples before. I'm still waffling on what to use on my own site so always curious about what others are doing.
Thanks,
Michelle

Antsin
The blogbuzz designers themed their own ddblock that comes with the blogbuzz theme. Instructions on how to configure it are on their forum. You need to register on the site to access it here.

Ah
That explains why it didn't look familiar. Thanks. :)

Apostrophe Misuse
Looks nice! I'm thinking of doing the same thing. By the way, you don't need an apostrophe on your name unless you're showing possession, such as "Negley's hamburger." If you're just referring to the plural form of your family name (i.e., the Negleys) then you just add an s, just like you would make a normal word or name plural). Apostrophe misuse is one of the most prevalent in our society. If you want to say "the Negleys' website" then the apostrophe goes on the outside of the s, since, again, the plural for Negley is Negleys. Just trying to help!
