Default currency value not shown in node/edit

I can set a default value for money + currency, e.g. "60.00" and "U.S. Dollar". However in my CCK field node/add page, only "60.00" is set. The currency shows AUD (my first in the select list).

The select list doesnt show the default currency (USD).
