My current node_import does not work to import product nodes, can someone explain how to properly patch it so that it works.

I've seen lots of 'patches' on the issue pages but which one works for sure?

I need to import thousands of items into my product database.

If you are trying to load ubercart products, try the patched version of node_import I posted here:
