I tested admin2 with rubik and devel module unfortunately after enabling theme developer module all toggles are disabled and links in create content and administer are missing. I also tried to install jquery_update but again didn't work.

Anyway, admin2+rubik are really nice combo for admin ui.

I can second this behavior. In addition to menu items from the "Create content" and "Administer" menus disappearing, the "Themer Info" box that normally appears at the bottom left when the Theme Developer module is enabled does not appear either.
