Hello thanks to all those who created drupal.
I did my first install of 4.7 last week. Got lots of tuning to do. Here's the first thing I need to fix:

I created a permission role for myself for doing day to day maintenance. In the adminsiter\access control area I checked all the boxes in the collumn under the new permission role for myself, but when I log into that account I only have permssions for

books
stories

whereas the admin account has permssions to those plus

blog
feedback
forums
comments
guestbook

I want all registered users to have read/write access to most that stuff is there any thing else I can do to make that conent avialble to non admin roles? I also want all unauthorized to be able to read but not write most content. I basically would like to create a role for myself or specific others with all or most of the permissions as admin. Is this possible? Please advise.
Thanks,
Peter

I am hosted on midphase with a non-ssh plan but have ftp and cpanel access.

You'll probably missing to assign the role to the user. This is done going to the user profile as admin and checking the box for the new role.
