I have permissions enabled for my Site Administrator Role and the module is enabled.
Under Administer > Site configuration > XML Sitemap, in the Sitemap tab, I left everything at default.
Under Administer > Site configuration > XML Sitemap, in the Search engines tab, I have only the Submit the sitemap to Google checked on and the Verification link is correct. However, the Submission URL field is grayed out and I cannot edit it. Am I supposed to edit this field? It's looks that way in the documentation (although the docs are for a previous version).
Also, am I supposed to manually submit to each search engine using the Tools tab?

We've disabled the URL fields
We've disabled the URL fields because users shouldn't be able to edit those fields. If you have the XML sitemap engines module enabled it should be automatically submitting your sitemaps. You can always go and submit them manually through the search engines (i.e. Google Webmaster Tools).
