Hi all,
In London and many other places in Europe it's gonna be late at night!
As you are in the lowest timezone, why don't we start it in the morning?

Any agenda item on improving support?
Hi all
A lot of people have been discussing a problem at http://drupal.org/node/6696. is there any thought as to how to scale this up. We are keen to use drupal, and it is puzzling that something all of a sudden seems to be going wrong.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Skype support module
craq in IRC has been working on a skype system where people could, with an administrator permission, set a "offers skype support" flag in their account. A block with people who can provide support who are online would also appear. I'm hopefully that this module could be installed on drupal.org once it's finished and give people the chance to get "instant" volunteer driven support.
I'm not sure if this will be broght up at the conference, but something is being done.

I totally agree with this
I totally agree with this sentiment. We have recently started seeing this exact same problem and am amazed that it has been around so long.
Note that in the UK 0870
Note that in the UK 0870 numbers cost under 10p per minute, depending on your network and time of day. So no, its not long-distance prices, more like national prices.
I hope to be in on the call.

Talk
I don't intend to talk about Drupal's past. Instead, I'd like to talk about things I'd like to see happen by the next code freeze. My talk will be developer oriented. As there is only 10 minutes for talking, and 10 minutes for questions, it will be rather brief, of course. (Maybe this is better captured in a longer podcast? I don't know. It is certainly less likely to go wrong.)
Talk is kewl
Unfortunately, I do not think I can adjust my schedule so I may attend, but I think this is great!
If the questions get too crazy, why not ask for them ahead of time, and answer the top moderated ones?
I also do have a question - what are your plans for using Drupal.Com? :)
A PODCAST of this would be great if I could listen to it later - please post a link where we can get it.
back channel?
Is there an official IRC back channel, or just #Drupal?

Alas I got dumped
And now the conference call number for Skype presents no audio and unceremoniously hangs me up after about 30 seconds of silence. I got as far as the new default theme for Drupal, and then -- poof!
I'll save my sentiments about what kind of piece Skype has become, and merely express my extreme disappointment in missing the rest of the call.

When you say 'podcast' what
When you say 'podcast' what you really mean is an MP3 or equivalent audio file... there's nothing 'pod' or 'cast' about it. We've had MP3s long before we've had MP3s wrapped up in some RSS with Apple branding chucked on top.

No, the guys at Lullabot
No, the guys at Lullabot actually have the file within their regular feed. So it is a podcast and not just an audio file.

OT: Just curious - about the Skype failure
OT: I take this to mean the Skype conferencing service flaked? I was about to try this service with some other conversations, but it appears as though this is a pretty good indication the service is not reliable at all. Is that your assessment?
WOW: That recording is awful! I'd say any important conversations should be done through traditional skypecasting methods (he he, traditional, like 1 year old tech :). It's too bad, I was really excited about the conference and the new service. Beep beep!

beepbeep
the beepbeep thing was from people joining and leaving, some where kicked out every 38 secs and joining again and made "some noise". other kept trying to get in while there was no room. made some beeps as well.. these beeps could have been silenced, but only /before/ the meeting.
