Issue Summary

This is a fantastically helpful module - thanks!

Something that would make it even slicker would be to be able to drop a file onto the file field itself or alternatively a dedicated text field that is automatically cleared of content.

What I've done is to create a text area just above the file field into which we drop a file. We then delete the resulting HTML text in that field prior to saving.

As it's just a little site for a couple of us to use internally we can live with that but it would be great if you could improve that aspect at some point. Or am I missing a trick that's already there?

I've played with this with Firefox 3.6 beta 3 and Chrome 3.0.195.33, btw.

Title:Dropping on file field itself. or alternative» Add additional dropzone(s).

Hi Nick,

That is a good idea. I had considered that there may not always be a need/desire to reference the file in a textarea, so I will look into implementing some solutions for this shortly.

Wow, Stuart, that must compete for the fastest response of the year award.

I'll check it out when the development snapshot date updates.

One thing about your issues lists: no issues have been closed which gives a first impression - and lasting one if you don't click to see the issues - that nothing much has been dealt with when the opposite is actually the case.

As one of the common suggestions for evaluating modules prior to use is to look at the numbers in the issues queue for a quick feel for how well the module might be being maintained and how responsive the owners are, maybe some people are clicking away without noticing that you've actually fixed most of the open issues before the ink is dry?

(I realise I'm overstating this given the newness of the module and small number of issues, but I might easily have stepped over it.)

Thanks Nick,

Let me know if it works for you and if you have any other ideas.

And regarding the issue queue, while I usually like to let the system do it's thing, you make a very good point.
Closed :)
