Hard to believe there isn't a way to do this but haven't found it yet. Seems like it would be pretty common practise to show lists of content but deny access to full content.
I have seen modules like tac, premium, etc but none of these seem to do this.
Back in D5 i commented out 1 line in database.inc that makes this work - but my patch doesn't apply in D6 (will look into it more and sort out what required hack is in D6) but hard to believe there isn't a solution for this yet.
anyone know of the magic module in D6??
