No thumbnails for google videos

I am using the video module and it works great for Youtube with thumbnails auto-generated. It is not doing the same for google videos. I've searched for info on whether there is a fix or if I am doing something wrong and found nothing. How do you get an auto-generated thumbnail for google videos? The video shows up and plays fine in the full node, just no thumbnail in the gallery like for youtube which makes the gallery look funny since there is a combination of both types of videos and some have thumbnails and some are just text links.
