I have just created my second Drupal site.
Following the instructions to the letter at some point during the installation I was asked to enter the sites name.
I entered the sites name as www.mysite.com and continued.
after setup I realised that www.mysite.com is note the sites title.
I now can not seem to find anywhere within Administer where to change this?
Should this not be added so that an administrator can easily change this? (Unless I have simply missed it)

Go to /admin/settings/site-information . I'm not sure why but the meta tag title is Slogan and the meta tag description is Mission. I use node words module which might do something to it. But, that is how it is on my site.

Hmmm Can not find that...
In the user interface there is no admin - settings
ftp to the site I also do not have admin folder?
Have I missed something or am I just being daft?
Login in
Login in http://yoursite.com/user
Goto admin http://yoursite.com/admin
Find the menus and make sure that the admin menu is somewhere you can access it (only you will see it.)
Goto admin settings http://yoursite.com/admin/settings
ect.
I don't even click on menu items anymore I just use the uri. It's faster. When I discuss admin functions I just put /admin/someplace/in/admin_section to show where to go since it's the same in most Drupal installations.
You need to log in
It sounds like you're not logged in.
It seems I needed the admin
It seems I needed the admin Module for this.
Managed to get this sorted now.
Thanks for all the help

That shouldn't be at all. For other users who find this thread at a later date noone needs to install the admin module to change the site title. It's core setting and is located at the path previously provided. adminsiter -> site information are the menu items to use to get to a place to change the site title field.
