superscript appearing as subscript

Hi! again...

I'm using FCKeditor but I'm not sure if this brought the problem about how the superscript is displayed. I'm using the ^® but it displays like a small registered trademark that is inline with the text. I tried to look for solutions but no luck. Can anyone help me figure out if this is an FCKeditor problem or not? I checked its display in different browsers but they are all the same.
