I have about 20 nodes I created using cck. Each node should have it's own "manager". I've created a new roll called manager, but now I'm wondering how to assign access to the node. I understand that out of the box I can restrict this "roll" to a specific node type. But I want each user of type manager to have access to only one node . . . so that each seperate node has it's own administrator.

Any ideas?

One way without additional modules is to change permissions so that Manager can only 'edit own content_type', then set the author of each node to its respective Manager.
