Session proposals are not being accepted until 15 January, but since DrupalCon 2010 is going to be held right in my own backyard (SF), and since registration has been open for a full hour already (I got my early-bird ticket), I thought I'd start the ball rolling...
I'd be interested in presenting a session on managing local and remote sites using drush site aliases, sync and sql sync. I could expand to cover other drush features if you weren't planning on holding a drush session yourself. I'm comfortable with public speaking; I've had sessions at WWDC when I was at Apple in the 90's, and was up for a few minutes for the Toy Show at JavaOne a couple of years back.
Let me know if you would like me to submit a proposal for a drush session. I should have my issues all fixed and the documentation updated before proposal submission opens.

moshe weitzman commentedGood question. I encourage you to submit the session. In the end, we might have to consolidate but thats OK. I feel like we could use a whole drush track this time :)
Some ideas

greg.1.anderson commentedWe now have this:

This session is by Dmitri Gaskin, maintainer of drush_make, and I believe it should pretty well take care of the intro to drush requirement.
I'm a little behind on my original schedule, but I'm planning on submitting a proposal for #3 shortly.

anarcat commentedI'd love to work on a code sprint. If you guys are still considering git, I could also help in the transition or some informal training.

greg.1.anderson commentedI'm reconsidering my session; I think it's a little narrow. The commands are useful, but when it comes to managing many sites, aegir is better, and these people from CommonPlaces will probably have more to offer in terms of site management advice. I might ping them and see if they are using drush in their presentation; injecting up-to-date info on sql sync into their session might be a better strategy for me.
I'd like to see a session on "Drush for Developers", covering using the devel module and drush to help build new drupal modules, and also how do add and hook drush commands. This would be a great session for someone with many years of experience writing a large number of drupal modules (hint hint).
I'd like to join the code sprint, if I can schedule it. I've never used git before; looks straightforward enough, but informal training would be welcome. I don't know if I'll be able to take the extra day, though.

owen barton commentedI am interested in presenting/co-presenting. I think a drush for developers is a great idea, I think a superquick run through of the existing developer related commands and drush contrib (e.g. module-builder, coder etc) would be great, followed by an overview of the drush bootstrap and dispatch systems and a walk through a simple command example (of course, this depends on the length of the presentation). I think the systems management stuff (perhaps with Aegir, drush make etc) would be an excellent session too.

greg.1.anderson commentedPresentations are about an hour. The above outline looks pretty good; note that drush make is going to be covered by Dmitri Gaskin.
At this point I don't think I have a whole session's worth of related material (if you drop out the stuff covered above), but I'd be happy to co-present if desired, and could cover dispatching, syncing, etc.

moshe weitzman commenteddrush maintainers are on the advanced session. dmitri is doing the beginner one.
