After adding 20 or so identical pieces of content (Links), the installation started throwing this error:

warning: parse_url(http://www.test.com == Content: link_url (field_link_url)) [function.parse-url]: Unable to parse URL in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/modules/views/handlers/views_handler_field.inc on line 588.

So, it was working for the first 23, but one more breaks it. I tried adding a link called test using one of the already existing urls, and it works fine.

The content type has two fields, link_url and Category. And there are two display elements - a block and a page. The block has the Title using the link path of: [field_link_url_value]

Any ideas? Is there a limit on parsing URLs in a view?

Getting the same error. Entered in about 100 nodes as Administrator, then went in as Editor and tried it so that I could show my client how to do it. Started getting the error. Went back in as Administrator and now I'm getting the error on Administrator posts. Any suggestions?

This is not an issue with the link module.

The link module does not use the parse_url function, which is what the error says is failing, and yet views_handler_field.inc *does* use the parse_url function. This is inside of the render_as_link() function in views_handler_field, which the link module does not call.

Do you really have "[field_link_url_value] == Content: link_url (field_link_url)" as value of the path?

Please change it to "[field_link_url_value]"

There was never a patch applied, so it's hard to create a backport :)

This was part of the views export

[field_link_url_value] == Content: link_url (field_link_url)

but you need

[field_link_url_value]

My error was occurring because the website field was not required, and some people did not add a url. I had the view output the field as a link, so when the field was left blank, it appears to have caused this error.
