Hi, guess I'm maintaining a module and have several .po files for it.. Now I'd love to go to localize and import them, so I can speed up the translation process, but I can only import translations in the language teams I've joined.. I don't want to join 6 translation teams for that, and other 4 for other module, neither I know so many languages (unfortunately) to keep on track of it, just want to import default existing content for modules.

How can this be achieved? is there any clue I'm missing?

Thanks in advance!

If you have a translation file for your module, but you don't know that language, then I get somebody has committed that translation file in the CVS repository for your project, or passed you the file to be committed.
I think that it should be who created the translation file to join the translation team, as he is the person who knows the language.

Hi KiamLaLuno, actually, I was trying to import the translations of nodewords :) so I guess we should find who wrote them and kindly suggest to join the team and import the translation? I was trying to easy the process of internationalization for others, but I've to say, is not easy at all..

The only person who can import translation files is probably the user who administers the translation team (which is an organic group).
Rather than asking to the user who created the translation file to join a team, you can ask to the translation team manager to add Nodewords (or any other module) to the translation team s/he administrates.

Anybody on a translation team can import .po files to that team. The reason others cannot, is so to keep the team working in its integrity. Teams might have guidelines of posting, eg. the Hungarian team asks you to announce your import on a mailing list as well, so moderators can jump on it right away (until there are notifications of .po imports in place, moderators cannot tell the modules people imported .po files for). So let the individual teams import stuff. You can obviously contact the original translators, ask them to join these teams and import the files. That is gonna help everybody understand the process better and those translators to contribute even more :)

Thank you both.. I'm going to try contacting them, probably it is the best approach in this case.

Cheers!
