Once the transaction is approve the site redirects to my site with all the payment details and confirmation of sale, however the order number is missing,

Im guessing this is why my order status's is not updating or changing from "In checkout"

Please could let me know if my assumption is correct, and what to do from here!

I've tested this and can confirm that the order number send to Monsterpay is never returned.
I have contacted them, and are awaiting a reply.

The MerchCustom field value is currently being set to a default and is not using the user-defined value. This problem will be resolved soon.
