I dowloaded, installed and activated the IM module. Then I enabled the block and wanted to configure it. But after I clicked on the "configure" url, I noticed a very high CPU load and after a few seconds I get to see "500 - Internal Server Error".
Is there anything I can do to make sure the module was installed correctly?

Same thing happens with my installation. I'm also running the latest stable (4.7).

I am running Drupal 4.7.1 with the May 27, 2006 version of Instant Messager. Although I do not see a "500 - Internal Server Error" when attempting to configure the IM block (FYI - I am running Firefox), I do receive a long processor run that eventually results in a blank page.
In the Drupal message log, I receive approximately 8,000 copies of the following message:
