decipheredI have considered it and may do it, but it won't be in the same way Quicksketch did with the FileField Insert -> Insert module, as killing off the module and starting another module with so many users of the original module would cause too much of a headache.
If anything, I would simply change the displayed name of the module on the project page and internally in Drupal, while the id would still remain the same (ie, it'd be called File Paths or similar, but the files would still be filefield_paths.*).
But I still need to think about it.

weynhamzI understand.Other solution is keep this module do what it should do,just support for filefield.
Move the support for the other modules to several seperate modules,each module only do one thing.
And they can be in one module group,the basic module of the group provide the basic api,and the others modules act like widgets.This way,the module api were kept unchanged.
