I am using the field Last Comment Author, and so even if there are no comments, it will just display the node author, which is perfect for what i'm trying to do. So now I just need it to also do the same thing for that user's picture. If there is a commenter, show the last commenter's picture, and if there's no commenter, show the node author's picture. Right now i cannot seem to find a way to do this.

The end result would be a simple list of the most recent activity(node posts or comments) in chronological order descending, showing the picture of the users who last posted nodes or comments.

Can you help me?

I tried relationships User: comment, but then if a post is made with no comments, the username shows up as Anonymous, and the Avatar is the default avatar. Is there really no way to do this? Anyone? Please?
