Add "Administer My Categories" in the admin panel

Please instead of removing the entry from the nav menu consider adding an entry in the admin panel as well and the option to enable/disable it in both/either locations.

This would give people more control over it. I am suggesting this because I like it where it is now. I am sure that jusspitti has his/her reasons for requesting this feature, but implementing that request would mess things for people that want it in the nav menu. I believe that when there are different opinions on user interface matters the best solution is to give options to the users in a way that serves all.

The point of this module is to expose taxonomy administration to those who don't have admin access.
