Sorry but I'm lost with this module. I don't fully understand how to use it or how it works.

This is what I do:

  1. Show the filter block because I want to see wich filters can I apply...[OK]
  2. Create a new menu item under taxonomy filter wich I've called "menu 1"...[OK]
  3. Then I go to "Mappings" and I set:
         Vocab: Vocab A -> Refine criteria: menu 1 -> Vocabularies -> Vocab B
         Vocab: Vocab B -> Refine criteria: menu 1 -> Vocabularies -> Vocab A

This way, when I'm viewing a term from Vocab A I can see the terms of Vocab B for filtering and viceversa, right. I could do this with three or more terms, perfect.

But here comes my doubt, what would you need a new filter menu for?

I come from "Refine by taxonomy" module wich is not ported to Drupal 5 (and it's much more simple than this module) and I find more logical to have a different block for each filter.

As I said, I'm a little confused and I don't know how to configure and use taxonomy filter.

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what you are asking:

...what would you need a new filter menu for?
I find more logical to have a different block for each filter.

Please restate your questions and let's see if I can be of some assistance to you.

Here is what I got in D5 with refine by taxonomy (at the bottom, upper tags are made using custom code): http://twitpic.com/pvcvw a block for each filter. When you visit the taxonomy page for a term you see related terms and you can add them to the view.

I find more logical to have a different block for each filter.

Yes, me too, but I don't know how to achieve it with taxonomy filter, I can only see a filter block available.

I thought with your module you only have one block and you add different filters in the form of menus inside that block.

Regards

UPDATE:

There is something I don't understand:

I create a new menu with the base template and then I go to mappings and I interconnect some vocabularies but I can't change the refine criteria field. My menu doesn't appear. Actualy I'm having the same problem with the other type of menus like cloud.

UPDATE 2:

It seems I need to define two menus or more and only the last ones are shown in the mappings section. So, what's the function of the first menu?

Thanks in advance.

Your issue in #2 Updates has to do with running the 1.0 version and is related to the first menu id incorrectly being set to zero. This was fixed in the first dev release after the 1.0 release. Try this. Upgrade to the latest dev release. Delete all menus, add one, then check the select fields on the mappings page. Let me know if the problem persists.
