We're using the Views Slideshow version 6.x-2.0-beta2 and need to use a field from the slides as the text on the pager.

Looking at the options for the view there is an "Advanced options" are that looks to allow overriding of the "pagerAnchorBuilder" function but I can't figure out the syntax to override the default settings.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a similar problem involving using a field from the slides; I can't seem to figure out the correct syntax. Anybody have any suggestions?

OMG this question is from 2009!! I'm also trying to figure out a way to do the same. Did anyone found any other solution/other modules to do the same?? Guys above me, please share it here if you have found something. Thanks.

I would like to change the pager so is NOT numbers, but node title

if i can achieve this i would then like to replace the main menu, e.g. 'Incredible Landscapes' etc., with pager, so, you when mouseover the pager link it changes the image, but if you click it takes you to the correct page, as is the case with the pagers at the mo'.

any help or guidance greatly appreciated.

You can add a field such as 'Imagefield' to the view, Exclude it from display, then select that field in the pager settings. (View Style Settings).

You need to select 'Fields' as row output though, can't use 'Content' or a display suite layout.
