Maybe I am doing something wrong, I'm quite new to this, but currently users on my site are only able to place a marker on a map by either typing in long/lat (and eventually a marker will show up) or they can drop and drag a marker.
Is entering in an address to place a marker currently something that is not possible or is there something I am doing wrong or some code I can enter?

The most common cause of this is that the geocoding for your country/ies gets reset, or is still set, to "None." Try going to admin/settings/location/geocoding and scroll down to the country you're geocoding for, and make sure one of the options is selected. Submit the page, then scroll back to that country and click configure parameters. Make sure there's all the required information there (if you're using Google to geocode and have GMap, it should inherit the information automatically).

If that doesn't fix it, it will at least narrow down the possible causes.
