I know the scalability issue has been mentioned, but here are a couple they have inquired about:
1. ability to use a /away /back command that will change their chat user id to toggle _away after their username when they have to go away from the keyboard.
2. Timestamping of chat messages (If this has been addressed and a fix posted, please refer me to it, as I haven't seen it yet)
3. its not that big a deal, but they wondered about having remote .wav files on the server that they could do a /playsound # that would parse a wave file through the chat like the sounds for messages, where they could do a "audible emoticons".
4. I know this is probably asking for a lot, and doubt it can be done, but they miss having a voice chat.
I don't know why others are having issues with not getting their chat working. Just remember to log into the bowob main site, create your account, create a room name, and set up your administrators id. download all the configuration files and put them in their correct directories. I found that putting them in a directory of bowob under the www/sites/all/modules directory worked fine for me. Maybe this will help others having problems as well. My users and I thank you for this module.

greywolfsspirit commentedok, what are the commands to set away or available or busy? I don't see them in the php's.
tried /away :away
nothing happening...
bowob commentedStatus selector is located in "options menu" (right button in default theme).

greywolfsspirit commentedoooohh, okay. I didn't notice the change there from the volume level indicator and the x are gone.. Thanks!

greywolfsspirit commentedUsing the 6.90 version in drupal, unlike the demo site, I do not get the green/yellow/red status indicators. I made sure to turn the options on in the config on the bowob site, I see my avatars, the friends over the user list and all that. Also, should this post into the chatroom when a user changes their status? I am not seeing that if it is supposed to.
bowob commentedIf you have just configure your chat to use "status", you should wait a few minutes due to cache.
I don't understand your second question.

greywolfsspirit commentedWhat I was asking on the 2nd question was, if I change my status to busy or away, in the chatroom itself, will you see it post into the chatroom a message like this:
