does anyone have a good source for the fonts to add to for this module. I have found a couple of them, but still experimenting with this stuff.

What are your requirements ?

You could take at the liberation fonts. They're GPL'd.

i am interested in producing as many BARCODE ( 1D and 2D )kinds of fonts as possible. No particular order for the moment. This is a project that will work with iPhones, and I was also thinking of pushing a png or other kind of image of a rendered barcode to the iphone itself.
