Devel intercepting OG emails?

As per my problem listed on the OG buglist:

I installed the cvs version ($Id: devel.module,v 1.79 2006/05/04 06:15:44 drumm Exp $) of Devel to check page creation times and a few other things on my 4.7 prototype site. After doing all the checking I needed, I disabled the Devel module. I even went so far as to delete the Devel module from the site about an hour ago.

As of right now, "devel" messages are still showing up in the watchdog denoting when OG tries to send an email to a group manager letting them know a user's subscription is pending. The problem is that the email messages are not getting to the group managers.

That said, I'm starting to think that whatever code Devel injected into the database when it was installed is somehow intercepting those emails (FYI: NO OG emails are getting through, even if the user has their email notification set to "enabled" in the group). If so, I need to know how to remove that code from the database so that the OG emails go through.

I marked this critical because the emails only stopped being received after I installed the Devel module...and considering that this site is scheduled for a sneak preview by VCs on Tuesday...and the email notification is make-or-break, critical functionality for the site...you can understand why I'm sweating bullets here.
