I am successfully using the sign up module with ubercart and single products. However I am having issues when trying to use it with Product Kits. I have enabled sign ups for the product kit, however instead of the "signup" button appearing I get an "add to cart" button.
If I go through the checkout process using the "add to cart" button every appears to work as if signups were working however the sign ups are not implemented against the product kit once the puchase is completed..

Any help or pointers would be great!

While you can sign up for products inside of product kits, kits themselves aren't currently supported. Could you explain the use case that would support adding this as a feature?

The site I am developing is to enable people to sign up and pay for various courses at differing locations. I have two content types Course and Course event (course event is defined as a product to Ubercart). The Course content type has the details of the Course where as the Course event is a specific occurrence of that course at a specific location and time and for a specific cost. I am using the Uc-signup module in combination with Ubercart to allow users to sign up and pay for these course events.
Because of the nature of the courses, I need to be able to offer various discount options. I am currently using the uc_discounts_alt module to calculate various levels of discounting on individual products and multiples bookings for the same course event. But it doesn't seem to offer what I need in this particular case which is as follows:-
What I want to be able to do is to offer a special price for different combinations of course events. I can do this using Product kits to create a combined group of course events and specify an overall price. This means if you sign up for Course event A and Course event B (as defined in the product kit) then you get a special price.

Hope that explains what I am trying to do?

It sounds like you just need to create product containing your desired event products with overall prices for those products. Please re-open this issue if you have further questions.
