If the JavaScript option is selected then please generate a noscript tag as well, a fallback mechanism for browsers that don't have JavaScript. This noscript tag should contain the same code as when JavaScript is not selected.

What do you propose would be in the noscript tag? The email address?

Hmmm... I guess it could say something like "email hidden".

It could replace the full emailadress 'name@example.com' with something like 'name@ex...'. If you wrap that in a span, you could even add a title attribute that says 'full emailadress removed'.
