CCK permissions and granting user access to a user role for only a certain CCK type

Is there a module where I could grant role X access to a CCK field but only for a particular content type.

I'm having issues where I have shared fields across content types and I don't want to grant perms to all fields, only for a particular content type.

I don't know of any-- this would one of the reasons you would elect to create a different field (as opposed to reusing the same field on multiple content types).
