Illegal offset error

warning: Illegal offset type in /sites/all/modules/storage_api/storage_api.module on line 297.

This is a fresh install using 6.14 and latest version of BD Video. The error is thrown for the first new image content I created, not BD Video.

I've seen several related reports - two questions:

I've used earlier versions of this module with bd before - is that the workaround?

Will this be addressed for 6.14? (Falling back to earlier versions isn't an option.)
