Seems to me that a global price change per role, perhaps per product class, would be the most useful.
Having a "wholesaler" or a "member" role with a discount of 20% or $5 off is my use case.
I suppose changing each product is ultimately the most configurable, but with a catalog of any size that seems like a bad idea in terms of extra data use rather than a global shift.
Any thoughts about this feature?

awebb commentedThat is something I would like to see as well.
The level of granularity you see with this module ( configuring per product ) is a result of the clients needs. They needed to be able to offer certain products at certain prices to certain people. So this module fit this need and I had limited time to get this module flushed out.
You will notice that the global price change is in the TODO list. I will work on it as soon as I get the chance, but make no promises about when it might be available.
Thanks,
Adrian

2dogrc commentedHow about some kind of bounty to finish up that global price change per role!

ptsmedia commentedI like how the module works and it's potential. I would also like to be able to change a lot of products at once...not even globally but in batches without changing screens. I currently run a site with 280 products and since it's a wholesale site have different levels of discount depending on role which are manually assigned per customer. (25%, 30%,40%) There are 8 price rolls each representing a discount amount (haven't found a better way yet). So even a way to globally add to all products a global rule and then individually modify the few that are different sounds good if you get to it.
I'm currently new to Drupal but hope to contribute and when able to I'll offer any contributions to this module you'll accept as I have selfish reasons for developing

ar-jan commentedI was looking into this module for global discounts as well, but - for those who need this now - I found you can do this with uc_discount. You can just specifiy a conditional action: when a user has a certain role, apply specified discount.

doublejosh commentedThat was my solution as well.

MrSchoolcraft commentedAny progress on this? I have a store for a client with 200+ products and they want to add a discount of 20% to a role. The uc_discount module is nice when applying it to the checkout total, but I need the discount to apply to the price when it is shown EVERYWHERE in the store while the user is browsing. uc_discount only applies once they have gone to the checkout phase.
Please let me know if there is any progress.

rocketeerbkw commentedThe next time I'll be able to work on this is Thursday, I'll try to get something worked in at that time.

rocketeerbkw commentedThis is a larger project than I guessed. I made some progress but nothing close to release ready. I'll continue to work on this but don't have an ETA.
