Every five minutes or so (though not reliably), my site is getting hit by requests from a single user for the following page:

blog/blog/3/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blo

I've informed the user, who is a legitimate member of our group, but he hasn't succeeded in stopping it. I'd rather not block him, but I'm getting annoyed by the log entries and I worry that it's wasting too many resources.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how best to respond to this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Charles

This has been fixed in 4.7

Generally it's something like Google Desktop trying to rss feed the site. There is a long detailed post somewhere on the technical reasons for why the client is causing this behavior. Drupal 4.7 changed how some stuff was presented so clients without the abillity ot understand base_url's in sites won't cause this to happen.
