default value for location_cck doesn't save

I know I risk creating a duplicate issue. But I spend hours searching the issues for a solution for my problem.

I have several node-types with a location_cck field.
This field has a default value (name - extra - zip code - city - street - country)
The field is required.

When adding a node the default value shows ok.
But when I save the node, the location isn't when I leave the default value as it is.
When the default value is changed (even when it is only one character that is changed) it saves as it should.
