Hi,

for less competent drupal users it would be lovely if the i18n-module would offer the option of switching languages with flags only out of the box, to have a very space-efficient way of switching languages. Ideally the flags were aligned horizontaly. They coul then be positioned in the header as a right-aligned block - a very common and therefore userfriendly way of offering language-switching.

I think it's quite obvious whether you're missing a flag icon and I don't want to restrict options for 'more competent' drupal users ..
About the layout of the icons, it is not harcoded anywhere and you can get any layout with the right themeing..

However I will add some note in the help pages...
