Now that Import/Export support is in for Flag core, it would be nice to import/export flag actions along with those.

note that there's already a great Rules integration, so you can use Rules + Flag, and export both of them with Features.

It appears that currently the 2.x line is exporting quite well using features. (it did work), but on the flag admin page, it showed that the code needed updating, and that it was exporting the 1.x version of the code, and had to be updated.

this was after an update to the new version of flag, and all updates had/have been run. Was this potentially the effect of a fresh install of the new version, or has the import/export code not incorporated the new features available?

True, I'll test it out after that initial export with features, and see if it still happens or if it was indeed a one time issue, and then post a new issue that describes it in more detail.

I think your issue is addressed here #659140: Set the Flag API version on Export (Impossible to use exported flags in modules). Anyway I think this issue can be won't fix -- or at least I'm not going to fix it ;)
